Be forewarned, if you plan on going to Magnolia Market during the summer, it gets quite hot in the market itself as I don’t think there’s central air conditioning and it is usually jam packed with people. We finally ventured into the packed Magnolia Market to do some serious shopping. It had a variety of seeds, garden kits, candles, and other gardening tools and trinkets for sale. The garden shop was quite small but very cute. Even though we didn’t inherit the green thumb from our dad, we never give up on the dream of one day having thriving home gardens of our own. Despite the 100+ degree Texas heat, the garden seemed to be growing strong and was worth checking out for a little home gardening inspiration.

We started off by checking out the various food trucks and deciding what we wanted for lunch. There’s of course plenty of shopping in the Market itself, as well as yard games, food trucks, a garden and garden shop, and even a delicious bakery. You can easily spend several hours at Magnolia Market without running out of things to see and do. Magnolia Market was every thing we had hoped for and more, we only wish we could’ve stayed longer! And Waco is a mess of a town with nothing going on.We absolutely love Fixer Upper and Chip and Joanna Gaines, so as you can imagine we’ve been dying to check out Magnolia Market ever since it opened! This place will be gone the minute people have had enough of Chip Gains kicking down a wall or Jo having a $4000 table made. We were shocked and totally disappointed. Then they have six of these little cottages on the property that they are, you guest it, selling toys, cloths, Jo's makeup, art supply's, leather goods. It also has Jo's Magnolia furniture that is not only bland and without inspiration, it's extremely overpriced. The property has A fake church on the property for the denim skirt crew. $150 throw blanket, give me a freaking break.

It's sad to see people wait in line to purchase this junk. Her style( farm house chic) has come and gone already, well, maybe not in Texas. There is (nothing) special about what Joanna Gains is doing here.

This place reminds me of a Disney world gift shop or Cracker Barrel store, What the hell. We did stand in line to enter the market witch is SIMPLY warehouse space that they are selling a selection of Joanna Gains books ,All with a big photo of her on the front. We saw people standing in line to enter the Bakery and that line was 150 yards long. Parking across the street will cost $10 Thanks to the Baptist church that owns the lot. So we pull up to what looked like huge grain silo's. It appears to be what at one time was the warehouse section of town, run down,abandon. Magnolia market is situated on a square city block in Waco. My wife and I had to travel to Dallas from Chicago for business and we decided to drive down to Waco for the day as my wife is a fan of the show.
